Afternoon workshop 2 – 4.30pm. €30
Including all equipment and tea break.
Join us for a workshop on the ancient Ogham alphabet, where we will consider its origins and uses in early Ireland. Most of the letters were named after native trees and the letters were often inscribed on wooden rods for divination purposes.
In this workshop you will whittle your own set of 20 Ogham sticks, using hazel rods and bush craft knives, and create a set of Tree Oghams. Each participant will receive a booklet on the meaning of each tree and letter. These rods can then be used for divination to gain wisdom from the trees.
If fine, this workshop will be held outside under a shelter in the woodland – please dress appropriately.
Please arrive at 1.45pm to register for a prompt start at 2pm.
